MS, Sony and Nintendo

I don’t like Microsoft, but I have to admit that they’re right, this time. You’d have to be a complete moron (or a Final Fantasy fanatic) to buy a PS3 instead of an Xbox 360 and a Nintendo Wii (and probably one or two games for each, too).

Think about it. If you like “normal” games (sports, cars, FPSs), they’ll all be available for the 360 (yes, even GTA), and probably looking as good as the PS3 versions. If you want something different, original, accessible, great for parties, and which your girlfriend/wife will actually enjoy playing as well, you get a Wii. You can get both for less than the price of the PS3. Is this rocket science?

Unfortunately, in the country of sheep I live in, where everyone seems to be obsessed with Sony and the “Playstation” brand, I’m sure there will be a lot of morons paying 600 € (!) for the PS3. :(

So sure are they that the PS name holds terrible power that they went and really screw it .. I hope they suffer accordingly :), I mean, for Microsoft to come out of E3 totally cool headed, Sony reaaaaally did it for themselves :)

If you want something different, original, accessible, great for parties, and which your girlfriend will actually enjoy playing as well[...] or that doesn’t make you feel guilty by having mostly R-rated or “>18″ rated games, you get a Nintendo. I mean, what would you prefer? Being “caught” by a relative when you’re playing Pikmin in the living room, or being *caught* playing GTA, at the precise moment some AI prostitute approaches your character?

in the country of sheep I live in, where everyone seems to be obsessed with Sony and the “Playstation” brand Last time I checked, sheep didn’t make “a-harrrrr” kind of sounds :) That’s probably the reason why there isn’t a revol… I mean, I don’t hear pople voicing any grief about PSP games being sold for EUR60, since a lot of them are re-makes of 2/3 year-old Sony releases…

All comes down to the controller. Never could get used to anything other than PS two controls. I’m not a real deal gamer though. Only at Madden.

I would totally shoot for the Xbox 360. Worth every penny + who needs anything other than Tony Hawk and Halo. Forgedya ’bout it!
