Blogging and AdSense quick tip

Don’t include the word “blog” in your blog’s title, unless it’s about blogging.

You may have noticed that this site is back to simply “The Tlog” (which is neutral and doesn’t affect what Google will think the blog is about), losing the ” – a technology blog” part. Yup, I make mistakes like everyone else. :)

This can help in SEO, too.

  1. Hum, se calhar por isso é que o Bruno se queixava que “o AdSense tinha qualquer coisa contra o WordPress” — tinha era contra o título “Litux Blog”! ;)

    Se calhar ter “blog”/”weblog” na URL também não é muito bom… *sigh*…

    Also, try to keep “blog” out of your URLs if at all possible. And if you’re using AdSense, use section targeting to mask out related words like “blogging”, “feed”, “rss”, etc.
