Firefox extensions: which ones do you use?

I thought it might be interesting to compare which Red Panda extensions we use… we may learn about some we didn’t know existed.

Here are mine:

  • SearchStatus: shows PageRank and Alexa ranks for the current site on the status bar; you can also right click on them to go several information pages on the respective sites.
  • ForecastFox: weather information; highly customizable.
  • BugMeNot: accesses a “throwaway” username/password database to enter stupid “registration required” sites (mostly news ones) quickly, without having to give them the most intimate details of your life.
  • AdSense Notifier: gives almost real time stats for your AdSense earnings; also allows quick logon to the AdSense site
  • CuteMenus: Crystal SVG: adds nice colorful icons to Firefox’s menus; becomes more user-friendly and pleasant to use
  • SEOpen: adds many SEO options to the context menu, such as checking for backlinks in several search engines, and more
  • del.icio.us: adds quick and comprehensive del.icio.us integration to the Fox

OK, your turn. :)

    - Flash Block - great against those Flash infested websites
    - Web Developer - very good for debbuging and other web developer tasks
    - del.ici.ous - …
    - SessionSaver - Saves your last browsing session;
    - Livelines - Integrates the RSS features of Firefox with other web based RSS readers;
    - Restart Firefox - this and Session Saver are a nice workaround against the dreaded Firefox all-your-memory-resources-are-belong-to-us bug;
    - WebmailCompose - Very good if you use webmail alot;
    - Tab X - Adds a close button to each of the browser tabs;
    - Auto Copy - “Copies selected text to clipboard automaticaly. Just like Linux;
    - Flashgot - Enables integration with themost popular external download managers for Windows;
    - Google Bar for Firefox - Simply the best!;
    - PDF Download - View the PDF as .pdf, as HTML or just download it;
    - IE View - for those pages that still don’t comply with standards;

    Correct me if I’m wrong, but that Tab X extension only makes sense on Linux, right? On Windows, you can just middle-click on the tab to close it - it’s only on Linux that it tries to browse to whatever is on the clipboard.

    I think I’ll try it on Linux…

    EDIT: just installed it. Looks very nice. :)
