You’ve probably seen it already, since about 4 days ago: the WordPress Related Entries plugin is active on this blog. This plugin uses keywords to “guess” what blog entries are probably related to the current one, and adds links to them (usually) at the bottom of the post.
The reason for this is, of course, to keep readers on your blog, a theme I’ll write about in more detail soon. If someone arrives at your blog from a search engine, because he or she searched for something you wrote about, it’s likely that they will just read the article in question, and leave… unless they see that there’s more related content available. After reading 3-4 articles, they may decide they like your blog, and come back later, or subscribe to its feed, or link to your blog on their own.
Also, every different post they read has new ads, which means new chances for clicking on them…

Thanks for the tip
I’m using it now!
Where did you get the plugin? When I try to reach the site: http://www.w-a-s-a-b-i.com/archives/2004/05/26/wordpress-related-entries-plugin/ it looks like the site is down. Can you place the plugin somewhere I can grab it please?
I think it’s at wasabi.pbwiki.com/Related Entries now.
