The Nintendo Revolution controller!
Here it is (saw the link on Slashdot).
Weird thing. Looks like a TV remote control… but can be used like a light gun – or a light sabre.
And you can use it with only one hand.
I guess that, since the Revolution is backward compatible with the GameCube, it will accept ‘Cube gamepads as well… but time will tell.
EDIT:Another very good article, with better photos, at Edge Online.

A quote from Slashdot:
“While I am male and in the 18-34 demographic, I don’t buy Madden every year. I don’t want to buy another WW2 shooter. I don’t feel like joining a 5-hour raid in WOW. I just want to have fun. I want to be able to have fun around my school, work, family, etc. I want to involve my friends and family in my fun when I can. The games Sony and Microsoft were showing weren’t the games I can see doing that for me. Nintendo’s games still do it for me 20 years later.”
The Wikipedia entry is already updated.
Have you seen the other Revolution Controller?
Nintendo did another controller, similar to the Gamecube controller. It works like a “shell” in which you insert the new revolution controller. It allows you to play games in a more “traditional” way.
i love the new controler…. i worry that it will come as a shock to your average xbox / ps2 gamer
but thats not who nintendo are aiming for – one thing that i am excited about, is that every new nintendo controler is designed with a specific game in mind – eg mario 64 on the n64….
i cant wait to see what game this control is designed for = D
Odrakir: you mean this? That’s one is a mockup by IGN, it’s nothing definite yet. But, yes, it may be something like that… or may be simply a re-styled WaveBird.
Yup, that’s the one
I thought it was final, I read the article diagonaly.
[...] One last thought, for those who have played the game and know how its control scheme works: imagine playing it with two Nintendo Revolution controllers… [...]
